Summit in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos today participated in the 2017 Invest In America! Summit hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. During a panel discussion entitled "State Success Stories and New Opportunities," Secretary Pablos joined leaders from across the United States to examine strategies for attracting investment to the United States. Secretary Pablos highlighted Texas' favorable business climate, reasonable regulatory environment, and world-class workforce as major incentives for companies seeking to relocate and expand their operations in the Lone Star State.

"Texas' economic success didn't happen overnight, and it certainly didn't happen by accident," Secretary Pablos said. "As the world's 10th largest economy and the nation's top destination for foreign direct investment, Texas has built a powerful reputation across the globe as the land of opportunity. By investing in our workforce, strengthening our infrastructure, and easing burdens on businesses large and small, the Lone Star State has created an ideal environment for industry leaders seeking to expand operations and create more jobs for hard working and highly skilled Texans."
