Records Management Interagency Coordinating Council

Pursuant to the Appropriations Act, Article IX, Section 167, the Records Management Interagency Coordinating Council (RMICC) will be undertaking a comprehensive review of its rules that were in effect in August 1997. Notice of proposed intention to review will be published in the Rules Review section of the Texas Register, and may include references to chapters that have been added since September 1, 1997.

Review of the rules will determine whether the reasons for adoption continue to exist. Any revisions that result from this rules review will be published in the Texas Register in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. Readopted rules will be noted in the Texas Register’s Rules Review section without publication of the text.

RMICC will initiate review during the period from September 1998 through December 2000. The review of a chapter will be completed within six months of publication in the Texas Register of a chapter’s proposed notice of intention to review. Review will be completed before July 1, 2001.
