General Land Office
Amended Rule Review Plan

In accordance with the Appropriations Act, §167, of the 75th Legislative Session, the General Land Office submits this corrected Review Plan. The original Review Plan was previously published in the August 21, 1998 issue of the Texas Register (23 TexReg 8696).

However, the General Land Office recently discovered that §1.52, relating to Cost of Service, was inadvertently omitted from the original plan submission for the Chapter 1 Vacancy Rules. The omission is being corrected by submitting this corrected Review Plan which now includes §1.52.

Chapter 4, relating to General Rules of Practice and Procedures, was originally scheduled for review in the 1999 fiscal year. The General Land Office is now amending its plan so Chapter 4 will be reviewed in the 2000 fiscal year along with related Chapter 9, §9.51, relating to Royalty and Reporting Obligations to the State, (formerly §9.7).
