Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
Rule Review Plan

In accordance with Government Code, §2001.039, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board submits the following plan for review of its rules. These rules appear under Texas Administrative Code, Title 19. Notices of intention to review will be submitted for publication in the Texas Register, and comments will be accepted from any interested persons or groups.

The agency’s rules review will be completed by April 2004 and every 4 years thereafter.

Between October 2003 and April 2004, the Board will review the following chapters.

Chapter 4. Rules Applying to all Public Institutions of Higher Education in Texas

Chapter 5. Rules Applying to Public Universities and/or Health-Related Institutions of Higher Education in Texas

Chapter 8. Creation, Expansion, Dissolution, or Conservatorship of Public Community/Junior College Districts

Chapter 10. Institutional Effectiveness in Public Community/Junior College Districts and Technical Colleges

Chapter 11. Texas State Technical Colleges

Chapter 12. Proprietary Schools
